Remote Staff Pharmacist (Cigna Retiree Only)

About the role

Encore is seeking a Remote Staff Pharmacist to join its pharmacy operations team. This position is open exclusively to Cigna Group retirees and involves interpreting prescriptions, verifying information, and ensuring accurate medication dispensing while working from a private home office.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret physicians' or prescribers' prescriptions and verify drug strength, dosage, and validity, especially for controlled substances.
• Contact doctors, patients, or prescribers to clarify prescription details and obtain authorizations.
• Process prescription orders received via mail or electronic channels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide medication counseling, address patient inquiries, and identify potential drug interactions.
• Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels while adapting priorities to business needs.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist in good standing in the relevant state.
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably mail‑order or similar.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and controlled‑substance handling.
• Excellent oral and written communication, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Compliance with work‑from‑home privacy and security policies.
