Remote Immigration Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant

About the role

Valore Office Solutions is seeking experienced legal professionals to provide remote support to a Chicago‑based immigration attorney who handles humanitarian relief cases. The position involves assisting with T‑Visa, U‑Visa, and VAWA petitions for victims of trafficking, crime, and domestic violence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file T‑Visa petitions for trafficking victims.
• Draft and submit U‑Visa petitions, including law‑enforcement certifications (I‑918B).
• Compile and file VAWA self‑petitions and supporting evidence.
• Write personal declarations and assemble evidence packets.
• Manage USCIS filing procedures, respond to Requests for Evidence, and track case status.
• Conduct client intake and maintain communication with a trauma‑informed approach.

Required profile

• Prior experience with humanitarian‑based immigration petitions (mandatory).
• Background as a paralegal, legal assistant, or licensed attorney.
• Strong written English; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to handle a high‑volume caseload.
• Reliable remote work setup and relevant academic background in Law, Legal Studies, International Relations, or a related field.

Required skills

• Knowledge of USCIS filing procedures and RFE response preparation.
• Familiarity with T‑Visa, U‑Visa, and VAWA petition requirements.
