Remote Functional Medicine Practitioner – AI‑Enabled Telehealth

About the role

GoTo Telemed is seeking a licensed Functional Medicine Practitioner to provide virtual, AI‑augmented consultations across the United States. The position is fully remote and operates under a 1099‑NEC independent contractor model, allowing you to manage your own practice while leveraging the platform’s scheduling, billing and patient‑engagement tools.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional medicine consultations focusing on root‑cause analysis, lifestyle modification and holistic wellness planning.
• Collaborate with an integrated network of medical, dental, vision and behavioral health providers to coordinate whole‑person care.
• Utilize AI‑driven patient engagement tools for follow‑up reminders, secure messaging and appointment retention.
• Order and interpret laboratory and functional diagnostic tests through the platform’s integrated ordering system when clinically indicated.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing, credentialing and platform fee responsibilities as an independent business owner.

Required profile

• Active, unencumbered license or advanced certification in functional, integrative or holistic medicine.
• Experience delivering virtual care and comfort with telehealth technology.
• Ability to operate as an independent contractor, handling state enrollment, licensing and fee obligations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑augmented patient engagement platforms.
• Familiarity with electronic lab ordering and functional diagnostic testing systems.
