Registered Respiratory Therapist – Surgical Critical Care

About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides advanced respiratory care to critically ill surgical patients on the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. You will work evenings, collaborating with nurses, physicians, and specialists to assess, treat, and educate patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory insufficiencies, including ventilator and airway management.
• Perform advanced cardiopulmonary evaluations, blood‑gas analysis, and invasive respiratory procedures.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and community resources.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NRP and/or NPS as appropriate.
