Registered Respiratory Therapist – Pulmonary

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist specialized in pulmonary care to join its Main Campus ICU team. This full‑time position offers the chance to work with leading experts, manage advanced respiratory therapies, and provide critical care to patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
• Direct respiratory caregivers and coordinate delivery of care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Perform advanced respiratory modalities, administer medications, and conduct blood‑gas analysis.
• Manage ventilators, airways, and respond to critical situations.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, community support groups, and follow‑up programs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Preferred: prior critical‑care experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
