Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full‑time – Pediatric Pulmonology

About the role

Provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric in a pediatric pulmonology clinic. Deliver therapy, monitor patients, and assist with airway management as ordered by physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures, including oxygen therapy, artificial ventilation, and intermittent therapy.
• Draw, analyze and report arterial blood gases and EKGs, and document all clinical information.
• Educate patients and co‑workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication for patient education and documentation.
