About the role

Join Ochsner’s Short Stay Cardiac Unit on Jefferson Highway, providing exceptional patient care in a fast‑paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will lead the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support diverse patient needs.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs and implement patient, family, and staff education.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members.
Use data and evidence‑based practice to promote optimal outcomes.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in Louisiana and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and adhere to nursing standards and regulations.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
