Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Part‑Time Nights

About the role

The Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse (RN) for Med‑Surg night shifts at its Macungie location. This position provides professional nursing care, coordinating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in accordance with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for designated patients during night shifts.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach, mentor and precept new colleagues and interns as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania (RN‑PA) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and maintain clinical competency.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills.
