About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a part‑time Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department during night shifts at the Gilbertsville Hospital. The position includes a $6,000 sign‑on bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients in the emergency setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs promptly.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Teach and mentor new colleagues and department interns, delegating tasks as appropriate.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage patient care assignments.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40‑50 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and perform patient transfers.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills.
