About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department at Pocono Creek Hospital on an evening, part‑time schedule. This position offers a $6,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates and provides the opportunity to work in a nationally recognized, Magnet‑designated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated emergency patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs promptly.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and department interns.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver safe patient care in a fast‑paced emergency setting.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and technology use.
