Registered Nurse – Radiology/Cardiology (PRN)

About the role

Ochsner Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient care in the Radiology and Cardiology areas on an as‑needed (PRN) basis. You will work within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and Ochsner’s commitment to excellence, serving patients and supporting the interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and staff.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, acting as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Embraces behaviors that enhance patient satisfaction and employee morale.
• Adapts communication and care approaches to respect cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Registered nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior work experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.
• Good organizational, time‑management, judgement, and interpersonal skills.
