Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cardiology (Full-time)

About the role

The Outpatient Cardiology department at the University of Miami seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner. This full‑time position involves direct patient care, coordination with physicians, and supervision of nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on responses and physician orders.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and perform patient tests safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, ensuring HIPAA compliance and effective handoffs.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and supporting their integration into the clinical environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
