Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Kings Hwy)

About the role

The Operating Room RN provides leadership in patient care, applying the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role involves delegating, directing, and assisting team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective patient care in the OR.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and evidence to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards and uphold the organization’s ethical standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
