Registered Nurse – MICU – Night Shift – Full Time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta. This full‑time night position (2 twelve‑hour shifts per week) offers the opportunity to provide high‑quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the MICU, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Coordinate daily patient flow, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Advocate for patients and families, providing education and responding promptly to concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and adjust care plans.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and contribute to shared governance activities.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia.
• Experience in an intensive care or acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts on a 2‑day/12‑hour schedule.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient‑centered care.
