About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Metabolic Surgery Unit, providing care for patients undergoing bariatric procedures such as gastric bypass, banding, and sleeve gastrectomy. The role involves 12‑hour day or night shifts on a rotating schedule.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care and monitor post‑operative patients, including telemetry for high‑risk cases.
Implement, update, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Document patient conditions, communicate status to the care team, and coordinate discharge planning.
Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and lifestyle changes.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum one year of acute‑care RN experience in a hospital setting.
Military RN experience considered a plus.

Required skills
