About the role

Ochsner Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry night shift in Slidell, Louisiana. The RN will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure high‑quality outcomes during night hours.

Key responsibilities

Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process and assessing learning needs.
Delegate, direct, and manage nursing and ancillary team resources.
Utilize data and evidence to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Adapt communication and care approaches to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required).
Current RN license in the state of practice (required).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and specialty certification.
No prior experience required.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
