About the role

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is hiring a Licensed Registered Nurse II to provide direct nursing care to individuals with mental illness at the Chester Mental Health Center. This full‑time, salaried position works the 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm shift, Tuesday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients on an assigned unit during the designated shift.
• Follow nursing process and documentation standards in accordance with medical personnel directions.
• Maintain patient safety, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate care plans.

Required profile

• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter with ability to work independently under medical supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency in nursing assessment, medication administration, and patient documentation.
• Knowledge of mental health care practices and regulations.
