Registered Nurse – ICU (Carbon)

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the ICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Carbon. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize evidence‑based practice, participate in quality improvement and research projects, and educate patients and families throughout the treatment course.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the ICU specialty and incorporate technology to optimize care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania (upon hire).
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain competency in unit‑specific skills.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Use of clinical technology and electronic health record systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.
