About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute as a stepdown float RN, providing care to cardiac, vascular and thoracic patients across multiple telemetry units. This dynamic position allows you to rotate among three stepdown units, gaining broad clinical experience while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, and implementation of physician orders.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, updating care plans as needed.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure and at least one year of acute care experience.
Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for critical‑care areas.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
