About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to work day shifts in the Emergency Department at its Macungie Hospital. The position includes a $6,000 sign‑on bonus and offers the chance to join a nationally recognized health system.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Participate in performance improvement processes and evidence‑based practice projects.
• Teach and mentor new colleagues and department interns.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the emergency specialty.
• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments and maintain clinical competency.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (upon hire).
• Basic computer skills for documentation and technology use.
