Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Unit (Full‑Time Days)

About the role

Ochsner seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Stepdown Unit (CSU) on a full‑time day schedule. The RN will lead patient care using the Nursing Process, delegate to team members, and ensure high‑quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver comprehensive cardiac patient care.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Analyze data to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt communication style to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong computer and data‑entry skills with proficiency in Windows‑style applications.
