Registered Nurse – Cardiac ICU (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. The RN will lead patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for patients, families, and staff.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and evidence‑based information to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale.
• Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy, cultural diversity, and individual communication preferences.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in a clinical specialty area (preferred).
• No prior work experience required.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications; strong verbal and written communication; excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
