Registered Nurse - Ambulatory (OB/GYN)

About the role

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to OB/GYN patients in an outpatient setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews, explain policies, and review charts with patients and families.
• Assess cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, pain, and psychosocial status.
• Develop individualized care plans, set outcome goals, and prioritize interventions.
• Coordinate use of supplies, equipment, and medications in a cost‑effective manner.
• Administer prescribed treatments, operate medical equipment safely, and document all care activities accurately.
• Provide emotional support, education, and referrals to counseling or social services as needed.
• Maintain patient safety by ensuring proper environment (e.g., side rails, call lights) and respond rapidly to emergencies.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BSN or equivalent nursing education.
• Experience in ambulatory OB/GYN or women's health settings.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and ability to develop care plans.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
