Recruitment Sourcing Specialist - Home Care

About the role

Institute on Aging is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to join its growing Home Care team in the Bay Area. The role identifies, engages and screens qualified Home Care Aides, guides them through pre-employment steps such as background checks, fingerprinting, TB testing and physical exams, and hands them off to the recruitment team, which runs final interviews, hiring decisions and new hire orientation. It suits a mission-focused, customer-centric person who enjoys high-volume outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing and outreach: find and engage Home Care Aides through job boards, outreach, referrals, community partnerships, ticketing systems and inbound leads, and monitor job postings so they stay visible.
• Community outreach: take part in caregiver hiring events and job fairs, and assist with special recruiting initiatives and hiring campaigns.
• Screening: run initial screens for qualifications, availability and communication skills, and interview candidates, including onsite, to assess fit.
• Pre-employment support: guide candidates through background checks, fingerprinting, TB testing, physical exams and onboarding documentation, and explain the HCA/Guardian registration process.
• Candidate experience: keep communication consistent and timely, and track records and metrics such as outreach volume, screenings and qualified submissions.

Required profile

• Desired: experience sourcing or recruiting hourly healthcare, caregiving or service-industry talent, and in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
• Desired: familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems and candidate documentation.
• Desired: ability to conduct structured candidate screens and manage multiple candidates at once.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area and be onsite about twice a week for outreach and events.

Pay range: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.
