Recreation Attendant – Outdoor Pursuits

About the role

Join the Discovery family as a Recreation Attendant at Atlantic Fields, a premier club outside Hobe Sound, FL. You will support the Outdoor Pursuits Department by delivering exceptional service and ensuring safety across a wide range of outdoor activities for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Outdoor Pursuits Guides with setup, execution, and breakdown of activities such as fishing, watersports, racquet sports, archery, and axe throwing.
• Instruct and participate in outdoor activities, providing equipment handling, water entry/exit assistance, and safety oversight.
• Conduct weekly safety checks on powerboats and other equipment, maintaining SOP compliance.
• Maintain and inventory all recreation gear, ensuring it is clean, safe, and ready for guest use.
• Greet members, manage poolside amenities, and encourage participation in games and events.
• Transport participants to on‑site and off‑site events using a company vehicle.
• Support overnight camping experiences and contribute to club and family event programming.
• Attend briefings, meetings, and complete daily setup/breakdown tasks per SOP.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a passion for outdoor recreation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to handle equipment and assist in active pursuits.

Required skills

• Experience with outdoor equipment handling and safety procedures.
• Basic knowledge of watercraft operation and maintenance.
• Inventory management and attention to detail.
