Real Estate Portfolio Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join BASF’s Global Business Services team in the United States. The role focuses on overseeing BASF’s industrial real‑estate portfolio, driving strategic transactions and ensuring the portfolio aligns with operational and financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of industrial real‑estate assets, including acquisitions, relocations, dispositions, build‑to‑suit projects, renewals, rights‑of‑way and easements.
• Lead multiple complex transactions simultaneously, working independently and in partnership with brokers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Optimize the portfolio for flexibility, efficiency and cost savings, removing excess real‑estate costs from the P&L.
• Administer portfolio data, respond to internal information requests and monitor critical lease dates such as rent escalations and termination rights.
• Develop and execute real‑estate strategies that support business requirements and growth objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing industrial real‑estate transactions and portfolios.
• Strong analytical and financial assessment abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across functions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
