Quality Lab Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Lab Supervisor will lead the quality control and wastewater laboratories, ensuring reliable testing that supports production and shipment schedules. This role combines hands‑on lab management with continuous‑improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the quality and wastewater labs, providing direct leadership to technicians.
• Manage technician shift schedules to guarantee coverage and business continuity.
• Coordinate sample testing priorities with production and wastewater teams.
• Maintain and update lab technician training programs, onboarding new staff and tracking qualifications.
• Act as the HRP champion and primary point of contact for EHS audits, safety reviews, and compliance activities.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to lower the cost of poor quality.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects, applying Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and preventive‑maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising laboratory teams in an industrial setting.
• Strong ability to schedule resources and ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and HRP tool usage.
• Track record of implementing cost‑saving and efficiency improvements.
• Experience facilitating Lean, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives.
