Machine Operator – 1st Shift (Hartwell, GA)

About the role

Brakebush is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for the 1st shift at its Hartwell, GA facility. The role involves setting up and operating production equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines, including mixers, packers, and other production equipment.
• Adjust machine speeds, belt heights, and temperatures; monitor control panels.
• Perform testing, maintain machine systems, and record QA and inventory data.
• Assist the line with tasks such as repacking boxes, stacking skids, and supporting packers.
• Execute marinator operations by reading batch sheets and formulating loads.
• Operate Wilevco and Toledo systems, manage cooler locations, and supply raw materials.
• Use Power Jack safely and follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

Required profile

• Well‑motivated individual able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and quality‑focused mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lb, twist, bend, and work in varying temperatures.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug test and background check.

Required skills

• Experience with Wilevco system.
• Experience with Toledo system.
• Proficiency in operating Power Jack.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out safety procedures.
• Understanding of HACCP program requirements.
