Quality Control Laboratory Technician – 12‑hr rotating shift

About the role

Join 3M's Materials Resource Division in Cordova, IL as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician. You will support product quality, development, and production processes by performing elementary tests, measurements, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of samples with minimal supervision and report results.
• Support QC lab process improvement initiatives and product validations.
• Utilize LIMS and other computer systems to record and manage data.
• Document all test results and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and maintain/improve testing cycle times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED or higher (verified prior to start).
• At least one year of quality control technician experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Associates/2‑year technical degree (preferred) and/or three years of experience as a chemical operator or laboratory technician.
• Understanding of basic measurement systems, testing, and calibration concepts.
• Working knowledge of basic quality tools and a consistent problem‑solving methodology.
