Quality Inspector – Autonomous Surface Vessels

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Inspector to ensure that autonomous surface vessels meet the highest standards of quality and performance before delivery to clients. The role is shift‑flexible and involves close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and functional tests on components, assemblies, and finished vessels to verify compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results, non‑conformities, and corrective actions; prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure adherence to internal quality policies and DoD‑specific compliance requirements.
• Identify defects, investigate root causes, and work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Assist in training new team members on quality‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and experience in quality inspection or quality assurance.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks up to 12 hours per day, including lifting up to 20 lb, climbing ladders, and working outdoors.
• Shift flexibility and willingness to work in varied and uneven terrain.
• Good problem‑solving mindset and ability to communicate findings clearly.
