Quality Engineer – Segment Quality Engineering

About the role

As a Segment Quality Engineer you will support Disney’s magical experiences by ensuring attractions and entertainment venues meet technical compliance, safety, and quality standards. You will work globally with cross‑functional teams to develop, enhance, and implement quality processes across the Disney Experiences Segment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate development of globally‑applicable standards and business practices.
• Develop and draft quality process solutions for broader consideration and further development.
• Prepare presentations for internal teams, global partners, and executives.
• Communicate work status and impacts clearly to management, team members, and partners.
• Review maintenance, technical drawing, parts procurement, and survey data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Validate compliance with Disney standards, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements for new equipment or design changes.
• Support Disney safety communication processes through coordination of survey data and research.
• Potentially work off‑hours or third‑shift to support reviews and investigations.
• Travel domestically or internationally as needed (approximately one trip per year).

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Quality Assurance (production/manufacturing), or Ride Inspection/Compliance.
• Strong written communication of technical concepts.
• Ability to explain complex issues to non‑technical peers and management.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a balanced perspective.
• Experience working in multi‑disciplinary technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal and team‑building abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, assignments, and priorities.
