R&D Technician, Analytical Services

About the role

The R&D Technician will work in Vitro's Glass Technology Center laboratory, executing experiments that support both internal research projects and external customer needs. The position operates primarily during daylight hours with occasional travel to Vitro facilities in the United States and Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping across all work programs.
• Organize procedures to generate and collect data, independently analyze operations, perform calculations, and record test results.
• Establish quality process requirements for materials and services.
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and conduct testing following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Process and test samples, interpret results, and document findings.
• Assist in interpreting material data, present information, and make recommendations.
• Support training and instruction of personnel as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 4 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, planning, and organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security protocols.
• Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
