Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will partner with the Quality Manager to launch new processes, maintain the Quality Management System, and lead root‑cause corrective actions using a modified 8D form. The role supports PPAP activities per AIAG standards and assists with ISO 9001:2015 audits.

Key responsibilities

• Handle internal and external quality issues and drive timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve workflow, controls, and safety compliance.
• Implement, maintain, and audit company quality systems, products, and processes.
• Manage PPAP documentation, updating PFMEA, process flow, and control plans as needed.
• Conduct problem‑solving analysis, CPK studies, and gage R&R assessments.
• Create and revise SOPs, work instructions, and other technical documents.
• Maintain 6S standards across all workstations.
• Perform data analysis on process output and capability studies.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma; 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) and Six Sigma Green Belt are strong assets.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment and lift up to 25 lb.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
