Quality Engineer – Baltimore, MD

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Manufacturing unit in Baltimore, MD. The role blends software development with quality assurance to support automotive, aerospace, defense and industrial manufacturing clients. You will work on designing, coding, testing and maintaining applications that drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Document business requirements and contribute to requirements elicitation.
• Facilitate software design discussions and capture design decisions.
• Develop, code, and integrate new features while ensuring system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, manage code repositories, and implement test strategies.
• Analyze test results, coordinate bug fixes, and uphold software quality standards.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in aerospace structures, nacelle quality, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to implementation.
• Proactive attitude toward testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
