Quality Associate / Technician

About the role

The Quality Associate/Technician supports food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at Ancient Crunch’s Hackettstown facility. Working Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend shifts, the role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and finished‑product testing (moisture, peroxide, FFA) and raw‑material inspections.
• Monitor production temperatures, conduct environmental swabbing, and maintain sanitary laboratory conditions.
• Place product on hold for out‑of‑spec results, manage release, and document findings.
• Investigate customer complaints, review lot traceability, and support corrective actions.
• Verify calibration of scales, thermometers and other QA equipment, and manage work orders for repairs.
• Conduct daily GMP walks, glass and brittle‑plastic inspections, and support internal/external audits.

Required profile

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Hackettstown, NJ.
• Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and work in hot, humid production environments while wearing required PPE.

Required skills

• Computer skills for reporting.
• Mathematical skills for data analysis.
• Knowledge of GMP, FSMA, and SQF food‑safety standards.
