Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor leads the manufacturing floor during an assigned shift, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant execution of food production. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role is critical for meeting output targets while upholding safety, quality and GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities, monitor output, downtime, scrap and labor utilization, and ensure adherence to schedules and standardized work instructions.
• Supervise operators and leads, enforce attendance, conduct, GMP compliance, and provide coaching, performance feedback and onboarding for new staff.
• Enforce safety, PPE use and food‑safety policies, address unsafe behaviors immediately, and support QA investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain clean, inspection‑ready production areas, identify inefficiencies, and drive waste‑reduction and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse and Sanitation teams, communicate equipment issues, and support material and equipment availability.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing leadership experience in a food‑production environment.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with a focus on accountability.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food‑safety requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency and production‑documentation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues in real time.
