QC Inspector for Residential Construction

About the role

The QC Inspector will act as the on‑site building code inspector and quality control representative for renovated residential homes in Nashville and surrounding areas. This position involves ensuring construction complies with owner specifications, applicable codes, and contract documents.

Key responsibilities

• Visit job sites (16‑24 hours per week) to review and verify construction against the scope of work.
• Confirm compliance with International Building, Residential, Mechanical, and Electrical codes.
• Verify completion of punch lists and issue field reports.
• Report defective or unsuitable work and recommend removal or repair.
• Issue Certificates of Occupancy and Certificates of Completion.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in construction or design is desirable.
• At least 5 years of construction industry experience, with 3 years in construction administration or superintendent/manager roles preferred.
• Experience as a residential building inspector is required.
• Residential ICC certifications are required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Building, Residential, Mechanical and Electrical codes.
• Residential ICC certification.
