QC Inspector – Building Code & Site Representative

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an on‑site Building Code Inspector and QC Site Representative to support renovated residential projects in Nashville and surrounding areas. The role involves ensuring construction complies with owner specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction work to confirm it matches the scope defined by the owner.
• Observe and verify compliance with International Building, Mechanical, and Electrical codes.
• Verify completion of punch lists and report any defective or unsuitable work.
• Prepare and update detailed field reports.
• Issue Certificates of Occupancy or Certificates of Completion.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the client in accordance with contract documents.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree in construction or design (desirable).
• Residential building inspector experience (required) with at least 5 years in the construction industry.
• Minimum 3 years in construction administration, superintendent, or project manager roles (desirable).
• Residential ICC Certification (required).

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Building, Mechanical, and Electrical codes.
• Residential ICC Certification.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and ability to conduct on‑site inspections.
