QA/QC Supervisor – Environmental

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Supervisor – Environmental to join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions team in Palmyra, Missouri. The supervisor will ensure plant operations remain compliant with environmental permits and support continuous laboratory testing for manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, including NPDES water permits, air permits, soil management plans, RCRA and HWMACT.
• Lead, develop and train a team of QA/QC staff, ensuring performance objectives and documentation are up‑to‑date.
• Provide timely analytical support to guide operational decisions and keep laboratory coverage continuous.
• Collaborate daily with EHS, maintenance, and production teams to monitor permit limits and address water, soil, waste and other environmental issues.
• Assist in root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions for quality and environmental incidents.
• Serve as backup supervisory support for the QA/QC function when needed.

Required profile

• Experience in QA/QC or environmental compliance within a manufacturing or agricultural setting.
• Proven supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with EHS, operations and maintenance personnel.
• Knowledge of U.S. environmental regulations such as NPDES, RCRA and HWMACT.
