Python Programmer – Technology Consultant (Jersey City)

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Python Programmer to join its Financial Services unit in Jersey City. The role is positioned as a Technology Consultant (level 2) and focuses on delivering AI‑driven, data‑centric solutions for banking, wealth management and insurance clients. You will work on end‑to‑end software development, from requirement gathering to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead design discussions, capture architectural decisions and guide the development team.
• Develop, test and integrate new features or enhancements while ensuring system stability.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain repositories and implement version‑control best practices.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse outcomes and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for smooth roll‑outs.
• Participate in production issue resolution and propose preventive measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing procedures and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Comfort translating complex business needs into actionable technical designs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming.
