Purchasing Manager / Buyer Planner

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, self‑motivated Purchasing Manager / Buyer Planner to join our corporate procurement team in Reynoldsburg, OH. You will act as a key individual contributor, overseeing end‑to‑end materials procurement and inventory planning for five manufacturing plants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels across multiple facilities using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to establish order schedules and minimize excess stock.
• Process, issue, and adjust purchase orders for raw materials, production components, intercompany transfers, and external suppliers.
• Oversee supply timelines with domestic and international vendors, expediting critical shipments to prevent production disruptions.
• Coordinate receipt of goods, review production entry data, manage bin transfers, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Serve as primary coordinator for annual physical inventory counts and stock reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on purchasing, material planning, or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing both domestic and international suppliers and shipments.
• Ability to travel up to 5% as needed and pass background and drug screening.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with integrated ERP software.
• Intermediate‑to‑advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage ERP (preferred).
• Familiarity with Power BI for data reporting and analytics (preferred).
