Project Manager – Multifamily Construction

About the role

Great States Construction is seeking a driven Project Manager to lead multifamily and commercial construction projects in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will partner with senior leadership and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget while positioning yourself for senior leadership growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from pre‑construction through close‑out, owning schedules, budgets, and cost tracking.
• Lead subcontractor coordination, procurement, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Monitor financial performance, support forecasting, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Partner with the Superintendent to drive field execution and ensure alignment between field and office teams.
• Identify and escalate risks, support successful project close‑out, and participate in client and OAC meetings.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of construction project management experience on multifamily and commercial projects.
• Experience with projects ranging from $1 MM to $50 MM.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
