Project Manager – Medical Publications

About the role

The Lockwood Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead medical publications projects from inception through completion. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets, and ensuring client expectations are met while maintaining scientific accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and faculty members.
• Develop, monitor, and reconcile project budgets.
• Schedule and lead start‑up, interim, and final team meetings.
• Facilitate progress of multidisciplinary teams to keep projects on‑time, on‑budget, and on‑strategy.
• Provide regular updates to internal teams and client contacts.
• Oversee external suppliers and manage resource allocation.
• Contribute to new business development activities within the account team.
• Ensure compliance with Lockwood Group policies and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of project management experience in a publications environment.
• Exceptional communicator with proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
• Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to motivate and support team members.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience using publication management platforms such as iEnvision/Datavision and PubStrat.
