Project Manager – Medical Communications

About the role

The Lockwood Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead medical communications initiatives for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical‑device clients. In this remote position you will oversee projects from concept through delivery, ensuring scientific accuracy, client satisfaction, and on‑time execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams from inception to final delivery.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external faculty to meet client expectations.
• Develop, monitor, and reconcile project budgets and financials.
• Manage external suppliers and ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.
• Schedule and facilitate start‑up, interim, and final meetings, maintaining project timelines.
• Provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and faculty members.
• Contribute to new business development within account teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in medical or scientific environments.
• Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to motivate and influence team members and external partners.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical‑device sectors is a plus.
