Project Engineer – Factory Capital Projects

About the role

Join Nestlé USA as a Factory Project Engineer, providing technical leadership for capital projects within the manufacturing environment. You will work in an inclusive, collaborative setting that encourages innovation and continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pre‑project approval documents, including charters, management plans, estimates, and milestone schedules.
• Coordinate design progress, ensure deliverables meet project key components, and manage bid package development for construction.
• Direct installation, construction, and commissioning of assigned projects while controlling scope, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare cost forecasts, cash‑flow projections, and monthly status reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with quality, GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations throughout project execution.
• Provide technical support to factory operations and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence and Total Performance Management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of project management experience, leading projects of $1M or less.
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to complete major projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of I&I pillar project methods and ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and risks on small projects.
