About the role
The Georgia Student Finance Commission is seeking a Program Funds Specialist II to support the administration of state‑ and lottery‑funded scholarship, grant and loan programs. Working from the Tucker office with a hybrid schedule, you will help ensure accurate award processing and fund disbursement for thousands of students and post‑secondary institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Process applications, eligibility documentation, and determine basic eligibility for state aid programs.
- Maintain and organize scanning, storing, and processing of student and institutional documents.
- Assist eligible institutions with program invoices, disbursements, and reconciliations.
- Perform quality‑control reviews of program funds and totals.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert on scholarship, grant and loan regulations, policies, and procedures.
Required profile
- Ability to work under moderate supervision and follow established policies.
- Strong attention to detail for data accuracy and record‑keeping.
- Familiarity with state and lottery‑funded financial aid programs is preferred.
