About the role
Join EarthOptics as a Production Technician in our Emeryville laboratory. You will support high‑throughput soil processing and chemistry workflows, ensuring quality and safety while contributing to the company’s mission to transform agriculture through advanced soil data.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspaces.
- Execute daily soil processing and chemistry workflows according to SOPs.
- Receive, sort, label, and prepare soil samples for analysis.
- Operate and monitor laboratory equipment such as ovens, grinders, vacuum sealers, dishwashers, and scales.
- Perform routine lab support tasks, restock consumables, and manage inventory.
- Record production data, complete documentation, and perform basic equipment maintenance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or biology preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow SOPs accurately and work safely in a fast‑paced setting.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and accountability.
Required skills
- Operation of laboratory equipment (ovens, grinders, vacuum sealers, dishwashers, scales).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Equipment troubleshooting and basic mechanical aptitude.
