Production Supervisor – 1st Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift (6 am‑2:30 pm) to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) production floor in Austin. The role combines hands‑on technical oversight with team leadership to ensure high‑quality builds, safety, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and train a team of technicians, setting performance standards and conducting regular assessments.
• Plan, schedule and execute integration operations to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Track production data, implement process improvements and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Implement and maintain quality‑assurance protocols for precise and reliable ASV builds.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, optimizing efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and performance of equipment and tools.
• Assess and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, design and supply‑chain teams to improve manufacturability and manage inventory.
• Allocate resources to achieve weekly and monthly delivery objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in integration or production floor environments, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Background in aerospace, automotive or defense industries; experience with autonomous systems is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 35 lb, standing and walking for up to 12 hours per day, and navigating stairs.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
