Production Maintenance Technician IV

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Production Maintenance Technician IV in Waukesha, WI, working an AWS schedule. You will respond to work orders, troubleshoot and provide preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial systems in a manufacturing setting, including pumps, motors, PLC and CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and coolant systems. Effective communication with the team and the customer is critical.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and troubleshoot equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Identify and correct safety-related issues and evaluate equipment independently to spot potential failures
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
• Perform quality control checks on products
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals
• Operate production machines and tools
• Maintain accurate records of production processes and results

Required profile

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
• Five to seven years of experience performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes and air handlers
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends, and to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders and stairs, and perform repetitive bending, squatting, kneeling and reaching
