Production Line Lead - 2nd Shift

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Production Line Lead for the 2nd shift in Franklin. The Line Lead sets up and oversees production lines and line attendants so that time and safety standards are met, leads and directs employees, ensures employee safety and follows industry rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP and H&S.
• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities and supervise production lines so orders are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Perform recordkeeping, including inventory management and order tracking.
• Keep the workspace safe, orderly, clean and organized, and sanitize lines when needed.
• Perform quality control, check that products are packaged according to customer specifications (price, date, label, packaging), and report problems to the supervisor.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in sanitary condition and monitor the overall quality of the finished product.
• Read and comprehend production worksheets, enter data on production reports, and use down time productively.
• Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings and lift up to 40 lbs unassisted frequently.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of production and plant processes and of safety methods and procedures.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime, and to work in a noisy, temperature-changing manufacturing environment.

• Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic analytical and numerical skills, including performing calculations in different units of measurement.
